48" SUNBLASTER LED 48W 6400K STRIP LIGHT

I needed a new T5 bulb for my Sunblaster 48”, but trying to track a bulb down that’s over priced is tough. I have been meaning to swap out for LED’s , but the up front cost is a little high. I feel in the long term this will be more efficient for my needs.The one problem i do have with all of the new LED light fixtures is that the lights are fixed. Meaning that if the lights go then the entire fixture is garbage and you cant just replace the bulb. This really frustrates me to no end. Granted the fixture should last about 5-7 years running it for 12 hours a day.

Nicely packaged unit! I was expecting something of poorer quality, but this is a nice surprise. The light is not very heavy, but substantial enough to not be fragile. I really like that the lights can daisy chain so there is only 1 plug and on/off. Bright, but like any LED the light spread is poor. You’ll want 3 of these to cover 4 x 72 seed cells. I have 2 right now, but at 4” off the seed cells, it doesn’t have enough spread. You’ll survive with 2, but likely need to pot up. Overall, I would buy again, because my seedlings seem very happy.

I bought these and another one brand called szhlux and that was exactly the kind of luck I had with the other brand. This brand was great! The aluminum shield is preattached, the other brand they came in the box and wobbled and fell out. These lights run slightly warm to the touch, the other ones ran HOT. Over all the quality of this brand was FAR superior however it was more expensive, but I guess you get what you pay for. I returned the szhlux and bought a second one of these. Don't be fooled by other brand, this one is the genuine grow lights.

I wanted to save money on my garden by starting my seeds indoors. I figure that between starting peppers and tomato I could have a year-round lettuce farm going as well!So far these lights are working great and my lettuce, spinach and basil seedlings are all looking very happy.My only concern is that if these lights are placed within 2 inches of the plants, the heat becomes a little too much so I had to setup a fan on the other side of the room to provide a little bit of air flow.

I adapted (4) of these to 2 shelves of my old Floralite plant stand - 2 lights per shelf, 8" apart.The tomatoes & flower seedlings are loving the light. They are nice & stalky, not getting too tall which was a problem I had with the dimmer old florescent fixtures I replaced with these Sunblaster LED units.Heat output from the fixtures is moderate - nothing gets really hot.

Using this light in a home-built cabinet to house my non-hardy bonsai over the winter. The trees have been under the light for about a month and are all actively growing, with the exception of a couple of Bougainvillea, which was expected.(the other trees are Schefflera, Serissa, Ficus Nerifloia and Tepin pepper)Will soon get another light to house more trees.

The package had been opened at one end a taped up without the protective foam. There was a nick on that plastic end of the light but it still worked fine. The 2 sets of mounting clips were missing. I’ve used the Sunblaster HO T5s for years so I have extra clips that fit and can’t be bothered returning it. Have been happy with their LED units too.

I have had this over my house plants for about a month now because the lack sunlight in the winter months. It works very well. I am going to use it in the basement soon to start seeds.. It is easy to mount and stays cool. It is a bit expensive but this unit is well constructed and puts out an amazing amount of light.

Arrived when expected, it arrived unscathed and working great right out of the box.I already have the 24" version hanging over my seedlings but this 48" version is going beside my main flowering light to help cover the sides of my 3x4 tent. I already know the plants like the sunblaster leds.

Have ordered these before. Good quality, reputable, work well for indoor cherry tomatoes, and my geraniums are blooming. Ordered late night 21st Feb, said arrival March 1st but arrived early am 24th west coast of Canada. Shipped very fast. Will order again from here because of that.
