1st attempt - 1st spray, withhold official rating until more time has passed

Nov 30 - background on choosing this Safer product. I had originally used another product of Safer, the scent was to strong that it didn’t dissipate easily when used indoors (Unfortunately, no choice as it’s winter). The product was also pre-diluted and was just point and spray kind of deal. I have finished the whole 1L bottle, and I didn’t see a lot of improvement. Maybe good for a week, then they’re the pests are back again. I have tried double sided tape to remove those “suckers” (together with the spray)…. Was just too much work. And these are just the challenges when all the plants are side-by-side in an enclosed space. I got pretty desperate to save my plants to the point I’ve started cutting out infested leaves so they re-grow new leaves and such, but the bugs love those new leaves and looks like the diluted form isn’t doing the trick. I still want to save my peppers over the winter as I don’t want to start again from seed, most specially that they have finally started to produce flowers and fruit. So I browsed for other Safer products that could possibly be a little bit more concentrated and came across this. I’ve read the reviews and it seems to work for the majority. The only disappointment I have is there was no instructions on the bottle label. I had to do research on how much I needed per 1L spray bottle of water (It said 50ml on one website). I posted pics of today’s initial spray (for comparison later on results). I also found out that compared to the other type, this one’s scent is milder. There was no strong chemical smell that I almost wondered if it is indeed working and had to look closely. From other reading material, I also found out it’s best to do the spray when the grow lights are off. Something to do with the leaves getting damaged. I turned off all the grow lights to let the spray sink into the leaves overnight and hopefully my plants aren’t all dead tomorrow lol. I’m rating for now in the middle (3 stars) just because of the non-irritating scent which I appreciate, especially indoors which I consider a step up from the other type I had before. As for the price… 500ml bottle divy by the required 50ml/1L is technically 9 additional refills before I run out due to its concentrated form. Added that it was delivered to my doorstep, always a plus. To be fair, I’d like an honest as well about effectiveness. I have seen after some liberal spraying on my part that these light green creepy crawlies have turned brown as shown in the pics (I hope that means dead?). I have been hopeful before only to see some brown creepy crawlies walking so I am withholding any additional stars or judgement for now until I can see these pests to dead. Perhaps in a few days I can just brush these “dead” things off my plants and once again have healthy green joyful leaves. I am very hopeful based on other people’s successes. I hope it works out well for me as well. One other thing I did read on is that I have to wait 10-12 days for my next spray if needed. It is possible if the need is bit more frequent, the spray should be diluted further (just a thought). More pics to be posted with results of experiment within 2 weeks.

Beware this is a concentrated formula!

I didn't realize this was a concentrated refill formula of the original spray bottle. I sprayed it directly on a few plants that subsequently died. Make sure you dilute this as described before using. When using properly it doesn't kill/damage my indoor houseplants. This stuff kills those annoying little flies that you get in indoor houseplants but they always seem to come back and they drive me crazy. I use this in conjunction with the yellow sticky fly paper things. I wish there was a way to get rid of these pests once and for all. The only option I haven't tried is putting a layer of sand on the soil.

This stuff works!

I love this product. It is my first time using it and I'm using it for indoor houseplants only. I had infestations of aphids, mites, thrips, mealy bug and scale! (I rescue and I put some outdoors then brought back in). Needless to say things got out of hand. I did a whole house treatment. I doused my plants heavily. I had almost zero damage. All bugs are gone and now I use it only once on new plants when I first purchase them and quarantine for a couple weeks. No more bugs = happy plants :)

I like this much more than the spray bottle

You can measure out how intense you want the potassium salts to be (I like diluting to 2%). Seems to work well on spider mites and doesn't destroy the leaves. Be careful not to spray too much and onto the roots though! I hang my plants upside down when I spray so the liquid doesn't drip down onto the roots. For my soil plants, I started spraying a bit on the top layer to see if it'll help with fungus gnats. We'll see!

Works but not a miracle product

I use it for spider mites on my plants. It works for about a week but it looks like the mites are coming back, so you have to apply it often. The worst part is the strong smell in the house. It will smell for a while if you apply about a liter. Like a strong intense soapy smell. I suggest a mask with filter, like a half-face respirator when you use it.

Great value

Great value, buy a bottle of the regular non concentrate and then you have the perfect bottle to mix this in. Safe product, used on everything from philodendron to calathea, velvet leaves and corrugated plants - no damage to any of them, and I use this on the regular. Once a month at least on some plants, zero ill effects.

Easy to mix and odour ok

I’ve been using this on spider mites living on my hibiscus weekly for a month. I’m still seeing chlorotic rumpled pin dotted leaves ( which I remove) but hopeful things will improve. Stepped up fertilizer as it’s spring and one day I will be able to spray the plant very thoroughly with safers outdoors.

Still fighting Thrips, but I didn't do anything for first year they were a problem.

Things are better now, but spring summer is bad time for Thrips. I will keep spraying for Thrips till new year. Spray works well but I was infested with Thrips, and don't expect to get rid of them, because I am only spraying plants and Thrips can live without plants for long time.

Works for a couple days.

It works okay. I don’t find that it kills all the aphids though. I’ve had to spray daily for a week and still have some on the plant. Noticed when I spray, the larger ones don’t die but it kills the smaller ones.

Ear whigs /squash beetles

The ear whigs were destroying my beans & squash beetles were causing a lot of damage to my squash plants. The Safer’s end all brought both problems under control.. I have bought additional bottles of it
