This product is legit. I tried using apple cider vinegar to lower the ph of my faucet water for watering plants that need about 6.5 ph. My water is about 7.8-8.2 from the tap which is on the alkaline side and great for humans. Plants However need about 6.5 ph and no more than 7 for nutrient absorption. I made the mistake of watering a newly planted seed with sink water 3x b4 treating the ph from the tap.
Long story short I couldn’t get the ph down. The vinegar and water solution would get down to about 6-6.5 but Apple cider vinegar won’t lower the ph of soil that well using a soil ph test. So once I got this I put about .2ml in a cup and water and it drop to like 5 ph. I added more water until the solution was about 6 ph and watered my soil/pot mix and the run off after about 3 min was a solid 6.2-6.5. No green at all on the paper test.
I ordered like 1 quart. It’s gonna last like 10 years
What I notice is once this drops the ph of something it’s hard to bring it up. That’s good for me and I notice it disperses well in whatever you put it in. It can stabilize the ph of anything that absorbs it.

It works, but didnt seem as strong/concentrated compared to the ph down that comes in the ph up/down kit. After shaking up the contents, as the label states, I tried it again on another gallon of water. It still took a little bit more ph down than usual to lower my water ph. It really does work, it just takes a few more mL to do the job for me than the stuff from the up/down kit did. I dont use much ph up though, so repurchasing the kit wasnt necessary. Maybe I just got an odd bottle/batch/whatever.. It's not that big of a deal, it's really only a couple more drops of ph down per gallon of water..it's very stable though

I used this on about 20-25 gallons of tapwater which I left out for a few days in the sun to get rid of chlorine. It was measuring 8.0 pH and it took around 2 fluid ounces of this to get a reading of 6.5. I'm using it for large-scale watering of plants.
This case won't be the same for everyone because everyone's water is different, but this was my experience.
Overall I am satisfied with the product and it should last me about 32 waterings, which is decent for the price. If you're using less water than I am it should last you a very long time, but of course that is dependent upon your water.

I love this stuff and will use it to decrease PH levels for the rest of my life. Not only was it easy to use, but it cured me of my skepticism today. I haven't had to adjust my test plants PH for about 3 weeks now. It really works. A little goes a long way, just so you know! I will be browsing more of GH's supplies after posting this. I'm a loyal customer now!
This is a mild acid, but I suggest using latex gloves when working with any acids.

Was using vinegar to ph down but wanted to compare. Was using 1/2 oz every 12 hours or so i would say you need about 1/6th of that with this product and it maybe 2x longer the first dose and maybe longer with each additional dose. Distilled vinegar is still way cheaper by far. But when this product is on sale its worth the go. I would buy again if i found it for the price i found it for. Very impressed hope this helps

My faucet routinely dispenses water that has a very high PH (8.0 to 8.6 ph). The perfect range for optimum results is 5.6 to 6.5. This does the trick. Don't go throwing a large amount to get the right numbers. The PH can go too low!!! It is best to add a few drops, shake well, then test. Work your way towards the perfect PH number you want, a little at a time.

I underestimated how strong this is was.
Definitely test water before and after.
My ph in my water was about 7.3. I was trying for around 6.5. About a tablespoon was too much. It brought down to around a 4.3. Way too low for me. A lite teaspoon in a 1 gallon container was all i needed to get around 6 to 6.5. Great product, just use with caution.

You have to adjust your pH, sometimes up, sometimes down, hopefully not both in the same adjustment. Start with the small kit and you'll soon know which you need more of. For me, it's down, especially when I'm using Potassium Silicate for Silica. I ordered this when I thought I was getting low and it was almost 2 months before I had to open it.

Had to buy the big bottle(see above item), because I blew threw the smaller siZe of this same product! Works great! For those lowering the P.H. of there tap water in southern California to 6.0 (Add about 2.5ml per one gallon) I digress, Great product! works well for me! Have a great day! Get P-H'ing!!

This is the best ph adjuster on the market. I previously used all natural adjusters and almost killed my plants. I did not realize that they only temporarily raised/lowered ph and my ph would be back to where it was within 24 hours. This product gives permanent adjustments after water changes. Plant saver.
