KEEPING THE TEMP OF THE WATER IN MY BARREL HAS MADE IT MUCH EASIER TO CONTROL THE PH AT THE EXCEPT-ABLE LEVELS WITH LITTLE EFFORT OR CHEMICALS. IT ALSO HAS A DRASTIC EFFECT ON THE PLANTS ABILITY TO ABSORB THE NUTRIENTS FOR A BETTER GROW. I WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND THIS TO ANYONE THAT DOES NOT NEED TO CONTROL THE TEMP OF 30 TO 50 GALS OF WATER. IF YOU NEED TO CONTROL LARGER AMOUNTS OF WATER THEN THE 1/4 OR 1/2 WOULD BE A BETTER FIT.
This device was my first foray into water chillers and I picked a good one. The device steadfastly keeps the water in my system less than a half a degree below where I set the temperature. I've been using it for a couple months now and never had a problem. Solid product that performs exactly as advertised.
I've been using this 1/10 HP chiller for nearly a year to cool a 50-gallon axolotl tank to 70-degrees. So far, it's been able to keep up with the hot Louisiana weather with no problems!
I don't think the chiller should have had liquid in it upon receiving and unpacking. I noticed a strong odor coming from the unit.
It's a pretty good chiller, currently used in my 75 gallon display tank with a 25 gallon sump and works like a charm.
This water chiller really seems to be just what I needed. I works great and it barely makes any noise.
I no longer have ANY issues with keeping my water temp just right!
Kept my 65 and then my 90 gallon aquarium at the perfect temp.
